CBDesignUK provide a full range of architectural services for residential and commercial schemes across the UK from their East Anglian based practice. With experience of over 25 years, they are well equipped to offer the full package to see a project through from planning applications and building regulations to 3D visualisations.

Ricky came to us after his existing website went down. Rather than try and bring back up the old site (which was over 6 years old), Ricky wanted us to design a fresh, modern and clean website to match his approach to architectural services. It needed to be easy to understand, yet clearly list all steps of his services and what each service entails. He was also keen to be able to manage his portfolio on the website to showcase all the previous projects he’s completed.

The next step after the initial meeting was to take his requirements and put them into action. He provided us with his logo, business card and brand guidelines, so it was easy for us to match his website to fit the branding of the business. We produced a prototype design which Ricky helped to refine down to the final website through email and meetings in our office.

The end result was a flat and modern website design. Displaying his three main services on the homepage, we also added in a “price starting range” and a time estimate to encourage leads to get in touch with him (nothing worse than visiting a site which tells you to contact them to learn the prices). We added a step-by-step page which took inspiration from his old website but we added icons and tiled each step to make it clearer (the old website was a list of bullet pointed).

Next we made the contact page feel more fleshed out by adding a 2-split column layout tiles for getting in touch with them via email and phone. Below that is a map branded to his colours showing the region of England which they usually operate in.

Finally, the project system we built for Ricky showcases the two most recent projects on each page and allows visitors to learn more about each project be clicking through at the bottom of each page or on the project page. Ricky and his team can edit/add any of these projects to their portfolio through the Merlin Panel which we integrated into the site for them at no extra cost.

All in all, Ricky received a website he was finally proud to show off, our last touch was to add a blueprint design (blacked out) to his homepage with a JS polygon animation canvas over the top of it for his clients to play around with when visiting his site. He came wanting to get his site up so customer could contact him, he ended up getting a site which knocked his competition out of the water.
